Milanesa — Argentine breaded beef cutlets fried until golden and crisp, flavoured with garlic and parsley. A simple, much-loved family favourite, lovely with lemon.

Ingredients

  • 4 Beef Cutlet
  • 2 Beaten Egg
  • 200g Breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbs chopped Parsley
  • 2 cloves minced Garlic
  • To taste Salt
  • To taste Pepper

Preparation

  1. Season the cutlets with salt and pepper.
  2. Dip each cutlet in the beaten egg, then coat with a mixture of breadcrumbs, parsley and garlic.
  3. Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat and fry the cutlets until golden and cooked through, about 3–4 minutes per side.
  4. Serve hot with lemon wedges or a side salad.
  5. For an extra-crispy crust, use panko mixed with finely grated Parmesan, and gently pound the cutlets to an even thickness for uniform cooking.
