Preparation
- In a large heavy saucepan, combine the peanuts, sugar and water. Bring to the boil and cook until the syrup has evaporated, about 10 minutes.
- Spread the peanuts in a single layer in a greased 15x10x1-inch baking pan and sprinkle with the salt.
- Bake at 300°F for 30–35 minutes, or until dry and lightly browned. Cool completely, then store in an airtight container.
